Terms & Policies

At Restorative Canine Massage Therapy, every appointment is thoughtfully reserved for you and your dog. The following policies help ensure I can provide the best possible care to all clients while respecting everyone's time.

Your Dog's Comfort Comes First

Every dog responds differently to massage therapy.

Sessions are always guided by your dog's comfort, energy level, emotional well-being, and willingness to participate. Some dogs may require shorter periods of hands-on work or additional breaks, while others may comfortably enjoy longer sessions.

My goal is always to create a calm, positive experience that respects your dog's individual needs.

Veterinary Care

Canine massage therapy is a complementary wellness service and is not a substitute for veterinary care.

Massage therapy does not diagnose illness, prescribe treatment, replace veterinary care, or provide emergency medical services. If your dog appears ill, injured, or is experiencing an emergency, please contact your veterinarian immediately

Pet Emergencies

If your dog experiences an unexpected illness, injury, or medical emergency, their health always comes first. Please contact your veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic as needed.

When you're able, simply let me know what's happening and we'll discuss the best plan for rescheduling your appointment.

Safety

For the safety of everyone involved, please let me know before your appointment if your dog has experienced any recent illness, injury, surgery, changes in health, or behavioural concerns.

Massage sessions may be postponed if your dog is unwell or if massage is not appropriate at that time.

Appointments

Massage sessions are by appointment only. Please arrive (or have your dog available) at the scheduled appointment time so we can make the most of your session together.

Consent

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Policies and consent to your dog receiving canine massage therapy within their comfort level and tolerance.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

For your convenience, a credit card may be securely kept on file for future appointments and cancellation fees, if applicable.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

I understand that life happens and unexpected situations arise.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

  • More than 24 hours' notice: No cancellation fee.

  • Less than 24 hours' notice: 50% of the scheduled session fee will be charged.

  • No-shows or missed appointments without notice: 100% of the scheduled session fee will be charged.

These policies allow me the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another client who may be waiting for care.
